Kirkland replaces City restructuring leadership

Kirkland & Ellis London partners Kon Asimacopoulos and Partha Kar have taken over management of the firm’s City restructuring practice following the departure of Lyndon Norley. Norley left the firm last week and is understood to be in talks with Greenberg Traurig Maher and his former firm Cadwalader Wickersham & Taft. Kirkland corporate partner and London head Jim Learner said: “We brought Lyndon over in about 2003 to build the restructuring practice and he did a great job. The relationships we have are very much a part of the team rather than tied to just one person.”
