Former Ropes & Gray associate pleads guilty in Galleon case
In the Galleon Group insider trading probe, Brien Santarlas, former Ropes & Gray intellectual property associate, pleaded guilty to stealing information about firm clients and passing that information on to other sources for insider trading purposes. Last month, another former Ropes & Gray associate, Arthur Cutillo, was charged for providing traders with inside tips about three private equity transactions on which Ropes was advising.
