Lawyers rally against Benazir Bhutto murder

About 1,200 lawyers offered funeral prayer in absentia of PPP's deceased chairperson Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto at PMG's Chowk here on Wednesday. Lahore Bar Association (LBA) vice president, Mian Asmat Ullah led the prayer. Earlier, LBA took out a rally from Aiwan-e-Adl to the Chowk after holding a condolence reference and paying tributes to the late Benazir Bhutto at the district bar room. A good number of lawyers attended the reference and chanted slogans against the government. Meanwhile, Aitzaz Ahsan, a leading anti-government lawyer in Pakistan is back under arrest, hours after he was freed for the Eid holiday.
