Choate poaches IP lawyer from Boston rival Fish & Richardson
Boston-based Choate, Hall & Stewart LLP has hired Michael H. Bunis as a partner in its intellectual property litigation group. Bunis joins Choate from crosstown competitor Fish & Richardson, the largest IP firm in the United States with more than 400 IP practitioners. He previously held dual positions at Terra Lycos where he served as Deputy General Counsel and Global General Manager of Product Support Systems. Prior to that, Mr. Bunis was an associate in the IP Litigation Group at Choate for four years. According to a statement by Choate, Bunis will continue to focus his practice on the litigation of complex patent and trade secret cases in federal and state courts throughout the US and before the US International Trade Commission.
