Salans hires Ashurst restructuring partner Dietmar Schulz
Salans LLP has hired Ashurst restructuring and finance partner Dietmar Schulz as a partner in its Frankfurt office. Schulz will add to Salans’ existing corporate finance and restructuring practice along with Mike Danielewsky, who is also joining from Ashurst as Counsel. Schulz has around ten years’ experience in the area of insolvency and restructuring as well as in the area of distressed debt and non-performing loans. In addition to advising debtors and creditors, his expertise covers portfolio-related restructurings and the law of public banks. Prior to Salans Dietmar Schulz worked in Frankfurt, Munich and London, where in 2006 he moved from Haarmann Hemmelrath to Ashurst. The news comes after the recent hire of insolvency and restructuring partner Bodo Schaar in London from Simmons and Simmons. The new hires bring Salans’ global restructuring and insolvency partner headcount to 36.
