$500m malpractice claim against Chadbourne & Parke dismissed

A New York state judge dismissed a $500 million lawsuit by Austrian bank Creditanstalt Investment Bank AG against law firm Chadbourne & Parke. The bank had based its legal malpractice claim on allegedly negligent advice Chadbourne Moscow office gave about the structure of an investment vehicle whose legality later came under scrutiny.
