90-year-old veteran prosecutor Morgenthau joins Wachtell
Wall Street firm Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz has hired Robert Morgenthau, the retired Manhattan district attorney renowned for pursuing white-collar crime around the globe. The 90-year-old left his position as New York City’s top prosecutor last month, after nearly 35 years in office. Wachtell said Morgenthau would be “of counsel” at Wachtell, which is a non-partner position. It isn’t clear what role Mr. Morgenthau will play at Wachtell, but some expect he will act as a "rainmaker", bringing clients in to the firm.
