Simpson Thacher's Adam Signy secures lead role on KKR deal

Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, Travers Smith and DLA Piper were advising on the acquisition of Pets at Home, Britain’s biggest pet food and equipment retailer, by Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (KKR), the New York-based private equity firm, for £955 million. Simpson Thacher's corporate partner Adam Signy advised on M&A issues, while partner Ian Barratt took over the finance side. In May 2009, Signy had defected from Clifford Chance, KKR's long-standing M&A advisor in the UK, to Simpson Thacher in London.
