Norton Rose boosts partnership in Australia and Singapore

Norton Rose has hired five new partners for its continued push for territory in the Pacific. Four of the hires place partners in Australian offices. Robert Milbourne has joined the Brisbane energy and resources team from a general counsel and company secretary role at Vale Pty. Petar Kuessner joins the banking practice in Sydney from a senior associate position at Mallesons Stephen Jacques. Gerrard Breen, a former partner at Dibbs Barker Gosling, joins Norton Rose’s restructuring practice in Sydney. Derek La Feria, a corporate finance partner at Deacons until 2007, has been lured out of retirement to join Norton Rose’s Perth office. The fifth partner to join the firm is former Linklaters counsel Anna Tipping, who will head the Singapore insurance team. Ms Tipping will spend six months at Norton Rose’s London office before relocating to Singapore.
