UK firm Hammonds boosts real estate practice

Hammonds has anticipated an upturn in the market for real estate services with three senior hires. Barrister Oliver Goodwin, formerly the head of planning and development at Mishcon de Reya, will join the Firm as a partner equivalent, and will head up a new planning group in London. The group will focus on both public and private sector projects. The real estate practice group has been bolstered with the hire of SJ Berwin conveyancing partner Patrick Ryan, and the January hire of former Eversheds property partner Simon Taylor, who joined Hammonds as a senior consultant but is set to join the partnership shortly.
