Milbank to open office in Brazil

New York law firm Milbank Tweed Hadley & McCloy is set to open a new office in Sao Paulo, Brazil, pending approval by local authorities. A number of US firms have established operations in the booming Brazil market in the past year, including Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, DLA Piper, and Mayer Brown. The Sao Paulo office will be led by Andrew B. Janszky, formerly a partner with New York law firm Shearman & Sterling. Tobias Stirnberg will also shift from Shearman & Sterling to Milbank’s Brazil office.
