No relief for legal sector as US unemployment drops
The US Bureau of Labor Statistics has released a new employment report showing the addition 290,000 jobs to the US economy in April, with nearly 80 percent of them in the private sector. No good news for the legal sector, however, which shed another 1,100 positions in April. This marks the second month in a row of four-digit losses, with the March figures showing a loss of around 1,000 jobs. Since April 2009, the legal sector has lost a total of roughly 28,000 jobs.
