Mayer Brown and Clifford Chance bag top EC lawyers

Mayer Brown has bagged a senior official from the European Commission's competition arm, the second firm to tap the Commission in the space of a week. Andres Font Galarza, who worked in the Commission's directorate general for competition, has joined the antitrust and competition practice in the firm's Brussels office. Last week, Clifford Chance announced that the former head of the Commission's legal service Michel Petite has joined its Paris office.
