Telecommuting - lawyers are on the move
A survey conducted by ABA has reported that more lawyers are ‘telecommuting’ (working away from the main office) than ever before. Seventy-one per cent of ABA members surveyed said that they sometimes work from home, in hotels, in others’ offices, or in libraries, courthouses and cafes. These lawyers are using computers, laptops, BlackBerrys and smartphones to connect to the workplace. Less than 1 per cent spend all of their time working away from their main office, and around 46 per cent spend between 10 percent and 24 percent of their time telecommuting.
