Salaries for US associates hold steady through recession

A new study of salaries for US associates has shown that they have remained steady throughout the recession. The report by the National Association for Law Placement Inc., Washington, D.C. shows that salaries for first-year associates had a median $115,000 this year. Salaries for this group ranged from $72,000 at firms employing up to 25 lawyers to $160,000 at firms employing more than 700 lawyers.
