US firms planning to hire in the fourth quarter

A new report from recruitment firm Robert Half Legal suggests that many firms are planning to hire in the fourth quarter. The report finds that 29 per cent of lawyers interviewed plan to add legal jobs, while 6 per cent expect the number of jobs to decline. Charles Volkert, executive director of Robert Half Legal, said: "As the economy regains its footing, legal organizations continue to make strategic hires to support active practice groups." The practice area expected to experience the most growth is bankruptcy/foreclosure, followed by litigation and health care.
