Allen & Overy appoint new Moscow managing partner

Allen & Overy has appointed Brussels banking partner Peter Bienenstock to the role of Moscow managing partner, as head of Russia Tony Humphrey – who currently holds the position – prepares to retire from the firm next year. Managing partner Wim Dejonghe commented: "Peter's experience and expertise, as well as his enthusiasm for and knowledge of Russia, made him the ideal candidate for the job. Tony has made and continues to make a huge contribution to A&O, and has helped to shape the firm we know today." Humphrey said: "I am enormously proud of the fantastic team that we have in Moscow and we have great clients. I know that Peter will enjoy working with the team to continue to develop the business in this very important market."
