UK-based Firm Clifford Chance elects new Senior Partner

The UK’s highest grossing law firm, Clifford Chance, has elected a new Senior Partner. Malcolm Sweeting is a London-based partner, specialising in structured finance and mergers and acquisitions. Sweeting succeeds Stuart Popham, who is due to step down in December after eight years in the role. Sweeting said “This is a very exciting time for the firm as we are particularly well-placed to take advantage of the opportunities presented by the growth economies in Asia, Latin America, Africa and elsewhere,” he said.
