US firms Kilpatrick Stockton and Townsend and Townsend and Crew to merge

US corporate law firms Kilpatrick Stockton and Townsend and Townsend and Crew have announced that they will merge on 1 January 2011, launching a combined firm under the name Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLP. The new firm will employ around 650 lawyers across 17 offices. Bill Dorris of Kilpatrick Stockton will serve as Chair of the merged firm, and the role of Managing Partner will be shared by Diane Prucino of Kilpatrick Stockton and Maureen Sheehy of Townsend. Bill Dorris said: “The merger combines the experience of some of the nation’s preeminent attorneys representing a who’s who of corporate clients across an extensive range of industries."
