WilmerHale appoints new co-managing partners
WilmerHale has announced that its current co-managing partners, Bill Lee and Bill Perlstein, will step aside to make way for new leadership. From 1 January 2012 Susan Murley, based in Boston, and Robert Novick, based in Washington, will commence a three-year term as co-managing partners. Murley has been chair of the firm’s transactional department, which is made up of 11 practice groups, since 2008, and she has served on WilmerHale’s management committee since 2004. Novick became chair of the regulatory and government affairs department in 2008. “Susan and Bob have been leaders within the firm for some time and this election is a natural progression,” said Bill Lee. “They come to these new leadership positions with a very broad and real understanding of WilmerHale‘s practices, clients, culture and law firm economics—I am confident the firm will excel under their leadership.”
