New global tax head for Freshfields
Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has appointed London-based partner Colin Hargreaves as head of its global tax group. Hargreaves will take the role in January 2011, replacing Stephan Eilers. Meanwhile, Eilers has been made executive partner in a new three-partner management team that will also include senior partner Will Lawes and managing partner Ted Burke. Current joint senior partner Guy Morton said: “Colin’s an outstanding candidate for this role thanks to an impressive track record, legal expertise that is second to none and strong management experience. “He’s ideally placed to help our tax practice continue and enhance the high levels of performance that it’s consistently achieved in recent years.”
