All star team for Apple's IP battles

Apple Inc has assembled an all star cast of intellectual property lawyers as it faces a slew of intellectual property lawsuits in connection with the development of the iPhone. This week Apple Inc will face before the International Trade Commission, and this litigation will be followed by suits against Motorola and HTC, the maker of the Android software platform. Apple’s legal team includes WilmerHale’s Bill Lee, along with Kirkland & Ellis’s Robert Krupka and Weil, Gotshal & Manges’ Matt Powers. It is a formidable trio, described by the Wall Street Journal Law Blog as ‘perhaps the very heaviest of the heavyweights in the world of patent lawyers’.
