Clifford Chance recruits investment banker from Bank of America
London-based law firm Clifford Chance has hired former Bank of America Corp investment banker Robert F. Masella as a mergers and acquisitions partner in New York. Masella spent the last five years at Bank of America as a managing director in mergers and acquisitions, before which he worked at New York-based Cravath, Swaine & Moore for almost a decade. “Deal discussions with boards have increasingly included looking at and analyzing complex legal and regulatory business issues,” Masella said. “Having had an interest in combining my backgrounds and the relative lack of lawyers with investment- banking experience, it seemed like I could leverage that to provide a unique service to clients.”
