US legal sector lost 1,000 jobs in December

The US legal industry shed 1,000 jobs in December in the third straight month of job losses, accoding to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Despite the losses, the sector has 1,200 more jobs now than it did one year ago. Figures on US employment as a whole showed a brighter picture, with national unemployment dropiing from 9.8 per cent to 9.4 per cent in December, with the addition of 103,000 new jobs.
