Olswang defers trainees and cancels 2013 graduate recruitment

Olswang has announced that all new trainees are to be deferred, and has cancelled its London summer vacation scheme and 2013 graduate recruitment round. The decision to put a freeze on recruitment seems to have been made a the last minute, with the application process for the vacation scheme and graduate recruitment already well under way. The firm has not yet announced whether deferred trainees will be compensated. Last year the firm offered trainees a voluntary deferral with £7,000 in compensation, but this time it looks like there will be no choice and no compensation.
