Australian firm Advent Lawyers launches in Singapore

Australian law firm Advent Lawyers has launched an office in Singapore, becoming the seventh Australian law firm to enter the Singapore legal services market alongside Allens Arthur Robinson, Blake Dawson, Freehills, Kanji Group, Webb Henderson and Wojtowicz Kelly Legal. The Lion City office opens for business with four lawyers, and the firm plans to add to the ranks in the coming months. The firm’s founder and chief executive officer, John Knox, has relocated to the Lion City to oversee the office. He said that having a presence in Singapore will enable the firm to penetrate lucrative markets in Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and India.
