Yale tops the US News Best Law Schools ranking

March 15, 2011 Yale Law School has again taken the top position in the U.S. News ranking of ‘Best Law Schools’, continuing a two decade run at the top of the list. Second place went to Harvard Law School, followed by Stanford Law School, Columbia Law School, and the University of Chicago Law School.

There is not a lot of difference between this year’s rankings and those of previous years, with the top honours awarded to essentially the same set of players each year.

This year, US News asked hiring and recruitment experts to rate schools on a five point scale, and Harvard, with a 4.9 average reputation score, took the top position, edging both Stanford and Yale, which tied for second with a 4.8 average.
