Former Howrey staffer sues firm for failing to give sufficient notice

Former Howrey staffer Stephanie Langley has filed suit against the law firm, that it failed to meet its obligation under the WARN Act to provide employees with 60 days of notice prior to its closing. The suit is expected to be but the first of many similar actions arising from the collapse of the firm, and the complaint seeks class action status, Langley is represented by New York-based firm Outten & Golden, while Howrey is represented by restructuring partner Peter Gilhuly of Latham & Watkins.
