Texas firm Clark, Thomas & Winters closes after mass defections
Texas firm Clark, Thomas & Winters has closed its doors after the departure of more than 50 lawyers in the past two months. Clark, Thomas & Winters was founded in 1938 and had, at its height, a headcount of 200 lawyers. In February the firm lost 10 lawyers to Minneapolis firm Bowman & Brooke; a group of 29 lawyers left the firm on 14 March to form Austin firm Duggins Wren Mann & Romero; and another 12 lawyers were lost in a talent raid by Gordon & Rees on 31 March.
