Herbert Smith promotes 13 lawyers to partnership
Herbert Smith has promoted 13 lawyers to the partnership in its annual promotions round – down from 18 last year. The firm has made up six lawyers in London, two in Hong Kong and one in each of its Beijing, Tokyo, Riyadh, Moscow and Madrid offices. Only three of the promoted lawyers are female. Senior partner Jonathan Scott said: "All our new partners are highly talented lawyers who will bring new skills to our global partnership and serve the firm's clients well in coming years. The international spread of the promotions reflects the changing shape of the global economy, the importance of emerging markets and clients' needs to have advisers across the business centres of Europe, the Middle East and Asia."
