Cadwalader hires Linklaters partner to launch Brussels office

April 29, 2011 Cadwalader Wickersham & Taft has hired Linklaters’ European competition partner Alec Burnside to launch and lead the firm's new Brussels office. Burnside’s practice focuses on EU competition law, advising global industries and bluechip companies on high-profile cases.

Cadwalader Antitrust head Rick Rule said: "To be able to bring on board a solicitor of the caliber of Alec Burnside is a game changer for our global antitrust group." He added: "Our ability to service our international corporate clients has just been strengthened considerably and we look forward to growing this global practice."
