A&O's Moscow office sees 30% of lawyers depart
RollOnFriday has reported that almost a third of the lawyers in Allen & Overy's Moscow office have departed the firm in the last year, including four partners, five senior associates and six mid-levels associates. According to reports, another four senior people have taken extended leave of absence. The firm seems to be having no problem finding replacement fee earners, and a spokesman for the firm pointed out that there are in fact more lawyers in the Moscow office than there were one year ago. However, as RollOnFriday comments, a 30% attrition rate isn't good, particularly in a market where people are generally staying put.
