UK College of Law to make 30 redundancies

The College of Law in the UK is set to make up to 30 staff redundant across five of the eight campuses. In a less than smooth move, the announcement was made on the very ame day that it was revealed that the College board had received bonuses totalling just under £1m. A spokeswoman for the College denied that bonuses of £1m had been paid, but refused to provide an alternative figure. She said that the timing of the redundancy announcement "was purely coincidental" and added that "there is no connection between this staffing review... and executive remuneration levels".
