Veteran lawyer quits Simmons after losing election race for Senior Partner role
The former Managing Partner at Simmons & Simmons, Mark Dawkins, has left the firm US litigation boutique Bingham McCutcheon after losing in an election for the role of Senior Partner two months ago. Dawkins served as Managing Partner for eight years before putting his hand up for the Senior Partner role, but after a tight race the role went to Colin Passmore, the firm's head of litigation. A spokesperson for Simmons said: "we would like to thank Mark for the significant contribution he made...during his 28 years here".
