White & Case to reopen Milan office after Latham & Watkins hire

White & Case is set to re-open its Milan office after the hire of two London partners from rival firm Latham & Watkins - Michael Immordino and Jonathan Clark. Immordino is said to be a key component in the firm’s strategy to revitalize its Milan practice, which has been closed since 2008. He will focus the Italian office on capital markets, M&A and bank finance work, and is rumored to have a book of business that will bring in between $10-24m a year. White & Case London executive partner Oliver Brettle said: “We saw with Michael a great opportunity to help build up a focused, high-level practice within Italy and also reaching out into other markets. We have great expectations of him and the practice.”
