ALMT Legal adds a partner in London and one in Delhi
ALMT Legal has boosted its partnership team with the hire of two new partners. M&A and private equity specialist Garima Basu joins the firm from her independent practice in London, before which she worked with AZB & Partners. Basu has been appointed to head the London office. Dispute resolution lawyer Seema Kothari leaves a role as in house counsel to a large industrial house to become a partner in the Delhi office. Senior Partner Sameer Tapia said, “We have evolved as a firm and we continue to grow and our commitment with London and the London office stays. ALMT was the first Indian firm to have set up office in the UK. We continue to keep that commitment with Garima coming in as Partner in our London office and Seema Kothari in New Delhi. We will continue to do Indian law and practice only Indian law. We have niche boutique Indian practice both in UK and India and continue to be in India the way we are”.
