Indian firm Trilegal promotes two partners into equity lockstep

Trilegal has promoted two partners into the equity partnerhip. Mumbai corporate partners Nishant Parikh and Amit Tambe have been initiated into the first rung of the firm’s 13-year lockstep, bringing the firm’s equity partnership to nine members. Trilegal co-founding partner Anand Prasad said that “There are concrete plans and there is a need to fine tune the financial lockstep further and make it more productive” in light of the risks in the lockstep system, such as high-performing and high-billing partners that seek more compensation under a non-lockstep system, or partners becoming less motivated to perform in a system of automatic progression.
