Lawyer found guilty of stealing £11,000 from UK firm Walker Morris
A litigation executive at UK firm Walker Morris has been found guilty of stealing £11,000 from the firm, but has avoided a prison sentence. Lynne Morley worked at Walker Morris until 2009 when she was caught stealing from the firm. She claimed mitigating circumstances in court, explaining that her former partner had lied to her and emptied her bank accounts, leaving her with £40,000 of debt. Morley was given a nine month prison sentence, which was suspended for a year.
