Manchester firm Gately offers a job to the lawyer that sued them for over a year

Manchester firm Gately has hired a former Halliwells lawyer as part of a settlement deal to end that lawyer’ legal suit against them. Emma Nutbeen was a legal services director at Halliwells before the firm collapsed last year. When Gateley hired a team from the failed firm it did not offer a position to Nutbeen, who launched a claim for unfair dismissal. Now, over a year after the claim was first filed, the parties have made a deal out of court, under which she has been offered a job at the firm. Awkward?
