UK firms Beachcroft and Davies Arnold Cooper merge

UK firms Beachcroft and Davies Arnold Cooper have merged to form DAC Beachcroft, with a headcount of over 2000 lawyers across the UK, Europe and Asia Pacific and Latin America, and an expected annual turnover is £190m. The merged firm will be led by senior partner Simon Hodson and managing partner Paul Murray. Hodson commented on the merger, saying: “Covering both bespoke high-value instructions through to high volume low-cost work, we are ideally positioned to cater for the changing legal needs of our clients. Insurance and healthcare are both industries where the new firm will continue to lead however an added bonus of the merger is the significant increase in our real estate capability across the UK and in Madrid."
