Bingham McCutchen set to launch representative office in Beijing

US firm Bingham McCutchen is set to launch its first office in mainland China after receiving regulatory approval for a Beijing representative office from China’s Ministry of Justice. The new operation is guided by Michael Crain, who served for three years as chief of staff to the US Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China. The firm has formed a relationship with Beijing-based PRC law firm Guantao, which will provide Bingham McCutchen with advice on market entry, regulatory and application services.
