Indian firm Khaitan & Co boosts corporate and commercial team with ANS hire

Indian firm Khaitan & Co has boosted its corporate and commercial law practice with the hire of Sharad Abhyankar, a co-founding partner of ANS Law Associates. From his new posting in Khaitan & Co’s Mumbai office, Sharad will focus on M&A, foreign exchange transactions and general corporate advisory services. Sharad said, “Essentially with 23 years of experience, I was looking for a larger canvass. I will be involved in training and nurturing of the young talent at the firm. This is the main role and responsibility I will undertaking at Khaitan apart from my usual M&A, telecom and commercial practice.” Partner Rabindra Jhunjhunwala in the press release said, “Sharad brings with him vital and specialist experience and we are confident that the work Sharad undertakes for the firm will not only help maintain the firm's momentum, but build on its rapidly increasing reputation.”
