UK firms Martineau and Sprecher Grier set to merge

UK firms Martineau and Sprecher Grier Halberstam are set to merge, forming a combined entity with more than 200 fee-earners, 60 partners and a turnover of £30 million. Martineau senior partner Andrew Whitehead and managing partner Bill Barker will retain senior roles in the merged firm, which will operate under the name SGH Martineau. SGH managing partner Emma Shipp and litigation boss David Bailey will join the firm’s executive board. “Martineau and SGH are a complementary fit sharing the same vision and commitment to excellent client service,” Mr Barker said. “We’re confident that both existing and new clients will be able to take full advantage of the new capabilities offered by SGH Martineau.”
