Five partners to depart from Mayer Brown's London office

US firm Mayer Brown is set to lose five partners from its London office in the coming weeks. Mayer Brown's London co-head of capital markets Stephanie Bates is leaving the firm to join Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe's London office, along with commercial litigators Simon Willis and Matthew Lawson. Meanwhile, James Dodsworth, a commercial real estate partner, is headed for the London office of rival US firm White & Case, and litigation partner Andrew Legg will join Eversheds' London office. Commenting on the hire, Eversheds litigation chief Ian Gray said: "Andrew joining us is part of a continued investment in this practice; he is the eighth litigation partner to join us in the City in the last three years."
