US legal services sector adds 1000 jobs in January

The legal services sector in the US added about 1000 jobs in January, regaining at least some of the ground lost in January, when the sector lost 1,800 jobs. Things are certainly more stable now than they were in 2009, when the legal industry shrank by 41,900 positions. Last year around 2,700 positions were eliminated. The economy as a whole added 243,000 jobs in January, and the unemployment rate decreased to 8.3% from 8.5% in December.
