UK firm Herbert Smith has received stern admonishment from a top judge for a ‘lackadaical’ approach to its disclosure obligations. The judge’s comments, which characterised a letter from Herbies a ‘substantially inaccurate’ and accused the firm of a lackadaisical approach to work ‘which should have been done weeks ago’ are embarrassing for the firm that prides itself on being a leader in the litigation field. And it was only a couple of weeks ago that Herbies received an embarrassing £135,000 wasted costs order.
