Norton Rose boosts Canadian North and Arctic team with McInnes Cooper hire
Norton Rose Canada has bolstered its new Canadian North and Arctic team with the hire of maritime specialist Wylie Spicer QC from McInnes Cooper. Spicer joins the firm as counsel, bringing 30 years of experience working in offshore energy and shipping matters. He was managing partner at McInnes Cooper from 2001-2006, and is a past president of the Canadian Bar Association for Nova Scotia. John Coleman, managing partner of Norton Rose Canada, said: “We will soon be launching a dedicated Canadian North and Arctic law team to support our clients’ growing interest for this part of the world, and Wylie will be an important part of it. His unique skill set will perfectly complement the international offshore practice of our group”.
