White & Case expands in Tokyo

White & Case has expanded its finance practice in Tokyo with the hire of Of Counsel Tim Jeffares.   Jeffares was the head of Clifford Chance’s Tokyo office from 2004 to 2008. He specialises in debt finance, including syndicated loans, leveraged acquisitions, securitisations, and real estate finance.   “Tim is an accomplished senior finance lawyer,” said John Hartley, head of White & Case’s Asian banking, capital markets and restructuring practice. “He has significant experience working with major Japanese and international institutions which are active in the Japan market.”
