Allen & Overy staffs Belfast outsourcing operation at speed

Alllen & Overy has set up its outsourcing operation in Belfast at a cracking pace, hiring nearly 300 staff in the 16 months since opening in the city. The firm had originally expected to tale five years to fill 300 roles, but demand for the jobs has been high - with 4,200 applicants applying for 190 places when the office launched last year - and the firm is making the most of its new Northern Ireland outpost. In a statement the firm said "we are still growing, and we hope to continue to grow. The global board of the firm were here in June and they were incredibly positive in terms of the atmosphere and professionalism and the location".
