DLA Piper boosts contentious construction practice
DLA Piper has hired two senior lawyers from Addleshaw Goddard’s Leeds office: Addleshaw’s contentious construction head Mark Hilton and fellow contentious construction partner Simon Palmer. Hilton joins DLA’s London office, lending his experience in arbitration and disputes across domestic and international markets. Palmer, meanwhile, joins the firm’s Sheffield base. He was formerly a partner at Eversheds, and the global head of construction at Hammonds from 2000 to 2005. He has experience of ICC arbitrations, mediations, adjudications and technology and construction court litigation. UK head of real estate and partner at DLA Simon Cookson said: "Given the current economic climate and the inevitable rise of construction disputes, the appointment of Mark and Simon will also greatly add to DLA Piper's wider offering."
